Alongside many other couples around the world planning international escapades for their special day, Portia and Norton’s Scottish nuptials were put on the back-burner thanks to COVID. 

After a year in marriage limbo, the couple were finally able to hold their ceremony amongst the wintry countryside of Hobart - the closest they could get to the Scottish Highlands that originally captured their hearts.

Although we were hit with some literal roadblocks thanks to the dense fog amongst the mountains, Portia and Norton took it all in their stride and we opted for ‘Plan B’ along the harbourside of Hobart and romantic shorelines of Coles Bay .

With Portia’s unique yet ethereal dress and Norton’s monochromatic structured get-up, the settling mist over the grey, unsettled waters provided the perfect backdrop for portraits reminiscent of a Jane Austin novel, and ‘Plan B’ turned out better than we could have ever hoped for. 

Such is the beauty of elopements.
